We are in great times for gaming this season, with previous releases in our ‘Next Gen’ year like Far Cry 4 or more recently Mortal Kombat X showing what we all want our next gaming cycle to look like.
To keep up with this why don’t we show you what else is on the horizon, just incase you didn’t know:
Arguably the most loved part of the Call of Duty franchise’s third instalment –
Black Ops III
Coincidence or not with movements of DC comics’ steady creation of ‘Dawn of Justice,’ the caped crusader is once again facing the perils of Arkham but now in the city. His city. Will you follow him?
Batman: Arkham Knight
This next one is a personal favourite in terms of presentation and general excitement. But when it comes to overthrowing rogue governments and combining it with an array of weapons, stunts (both ground level and aerial) & a general result of explosions due to said actions; this game has had fans since showing all you need is a grappling hook and a parachute to get things done
Just Cause 3
The next game is a still seen as being one of the, arguably, best game creations of gaming history. It’s first instalment is still used as a benchmark of, all if not most, games that follow the supernatural hunter in a medieval era genre. Still moving forward with it’s impressive second game (currently being played =^_^=) the time has now come for the Wild Hunt to join the franchise-
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Keep an eye out for more from the Next Gen Season list as this list has only begun
more to come as always
Last year, Archie Comics announced that they were planning another crossover between their Mega Man and Sonic the Hedgehog comics in 2015. The big twist with Worlds Unite is that the traditional Mega Man and Sonic casts will be joined by characters from the Mega Man X and Sonic Boom games. But as it turns out, even that just scratches the surface of this epic crossover. World Unite will bring together a number of popular franchises from both Sega and Capcom.
Characters revealed: Sonic, Mega Man, Mega Man X, Sticks, Alex Kidd, Billy Hatcher, Nina (Breath of Fire), Viewtiful Joe,Nights, Tyris Flare (Golden Axe), Red Arremer (Ghosts ‘n Goblins), Amaterasu (Okami), Ryu, Vyse (Skies of Arcadia), Base Wing (Panzer Dragoon), Gore Magala (Monster Hunter 4)
This endeavour looks to be the revival these two characters desperately need to be portrayed properly for core fans
more updates as this progresses are sure to follow
I thought it might be cool if I wrote about my experience with the quick look on Sunset Overdrive. I loved everything about this game. It felt like I was on a joyride with so many attractions and things to do.
Movement plays a very big part in this game. I heard that you could actually go from one side of the city to the other without having to touch the ground. This would take some skill, skill I have yet to acquire since I haven’t played much of the game. What I did play I enjoyed. It was fun jumping and bouncing around off objects in order to move forward.
This game is all about the slapstick humor. From the small things like text written on a train telling you to go home or the comic book like words that spring up when an explosion happens. It just shows this game is wacky, fun and doesn’t take itself seriously. I mean I was able to put facial hair on my female character….I don’t even remember the last game that allowed this if there has ever been one.
I was only given the opportunity to play around with a few weapons and by their designs I could tell that the more I play this game the crazier the weapons would become.
Everything about this game feels fresh to me and a welcome addition to my collection. I will be playing through this game soon so watch this space for more Sunset Overdrive content.
